Organizer Duties During the Tournament

With [Create Tournament Table](/help/create-brackets), the tournament officially begins! Continue to run and manage the tournament by checking the status of matches on the [**Tournament Table**] screen in the organizer menu. After the tournament starts, you can: - Check the tournament bracket - Check / enter / edit match results - Respond to participant protests - Chat with players - Enter operational notes - Disqualify participants ## Procedure ![Result report settings](/assets/figures/help/en/result-report.png) ### When result reporting is set to [Organizer only] If [Report setting](/help/create-tournament) is set to [**Organizer only**], the tournament will only proceed when the organizer confirms a match result. - The organizer will manually enter the match result ### When result reporting is set to [Organizer and Participant] If [Result Report Settings](/help/create-tournament) is set to [**Organizers and Participants**], the tournament will proceed in one of the following ways. - After a match, the winner reports the result and the loser approves it. - The organizer will manually enter the match result ## How to Use Chat You can chat with participants in both confirmed and undecided match cards. Chat logs can be viewed for any match card without participating in the chat.If you wish to send a message to the chat, clilck [**Join**] to join the chat. See [How to use chat](/help/how-to-use-chat) for details. ## How to check / enter / edit the match result 1. Access "[https://tonamel.com/organize/](https://tonamel.com/organize/)" with [Login](/help/signup-login). 2. Select a tournament. 3. If required, enter a score for the match result. 6. Click [**Confirm**]. ## BYEs and Disqualifications These tools can be used to grant victory to one player or disqualify both players. ### Grant a Participant a BYE 1. Access "[https://tonamel.com/organize/](https://tonamel.com/organize/)" with [Login](/help/signup-login). 2. Select a tournament. 3. Click [**Bracket**] in the menu. 4. Click a match card in the bracket. 5. Adjust the score for the winning participant as necessary. 6. Click [**Confirm**]. ### Disqualify Both Participants in a Match 1. Access "[https://tonamel.com/organize/](https://tonamel.com/organize/)" with [Login](/help/signup-login). 2. Select a tournament. 3. Click [**Bracket**] in the menu. 4. Click a match card in the bracket. 5. Click [**Disqualification**]. 6. Click [**Confirm**]. 7. Click [**Confirm**] in the dialog. ## How to Respond to Protests If [Set result report](/help/create-tournament) is set to [**Organizer and participants**], participants have the option to protest match results. Protests are sent when something goes wrong during a match, such as cheating or mis-reporting. Match cards for which protests have been sent will be marked with a red warning icon, allowing you to join the relevant chat rooms and resolve the protests. ![Protest Alert](/assets/figures/help/en/alert-accusation.png) 1. Access "[https://tonamel.com/organize/](https://tonamel.com/organize/)" with [Login](/help/signup-login). 2. Select a tournament. 3. Click [**Bracket**] in the menu. 4. Click the match card with the red warning icon in the bracket. 5. Open the chat. 6. Review the protest and resolve it. 7. Enter the result report. ## How to Use the Alert Box An alert box will be displayed if [Result report settings](/help/create-tournament) is set to [**Host and participants**]. You can see any match cards that may be taking too long and are slowing down the tournament. There are three types of alert boxes: ![Alert Box](/assets/figures/help/en/alertbox.png) - In the [**Player not accessed for more than 10 minutes**] case, match cards in which either participant has not joined the card [**match card page**] will be shown. - [**Matches unapproved for more than 10 minutes**] refers to matches in which the winner has reported a result but the loser has not approved it for more than 10 minutes. - The [**Protest**] section covers match cards in which there is a player protest that is yet unresolved.
